The picture book narrates the story of a “Carabiniere” who dies in the attempt to protect the sea from the attack of a flock of crows.
In a world made of birds, the Carabiniere's sacrifice will bring them back to human form, as he used to be.
Notes:
1. The "Carabiniere” in Italy is a member of a special police corps.
2. The story stems from a real event, concerning a Carabiniere who died in an attempt to prevent some bathers from dirtying the sea.
